Hotels - Campsite
Hotel reservations should be
made by the participants themselves. Arrangements have been made with
sixteen different hotels in Wageningen and Ede ( the congress venue) or
in the neighbourhood of those cities.
IALE-2007 Congress-participants
will receive a special rate if they make their reservation before the
11th of May 2007. Information about the hotels and the
reservation forms are to be found on this site. Please download the
reservation form and send it by fax or mail to the hotel of your
choice. You will receive the confirmation including payment conditions
and further information directly from the hotel.
Transport
Special daily transport is
arranged to and from hotels, to the congress venue CineMec in Ede. and to
all other locations involved in the IALE-programme. A bus schedule will
be provided to all participants and it will also be available at all
locations and hotels. Costs are included in the Congress-fee.
Of course if someone should like
to join the Dutch in their habit to ride a bike, there are bicycles for
rent in almost every hotel.
Latest Information
As at present (25 June 2007) there are no Congress Guests in the hotels
"De Buurnderkamp, Wolfheze, De Bilderberg and Papendal" there will be no
shuttle busses picking up guests from these hotels. Those who will book
a room in these hotels have to take care of their own transport to and
from the congress venue.

Hotel
and Conference Centre WICC contains two three star hotels (both in the
centre of Wageningen) with a total of 216 rooms. The WIR hotel is
located only 250m away from the WICC.
The central position of the WICC (close to the A12, A15 and A50 main
roads) makes it very easy to reach. There is also a bus stop 250 m away.
For
both long and short term visits, the two hotels of the WICC have
excellent facilities. All rooms have their own private bathroom
facilities, telephone, colour TV and safe. The rooms in the WIR Hotel
are more spacious and have their own coffee and tea facilities but other
facilities (bars, restaurants and lounges) are in the WICC Hotel at a
distance of a 5 minutes walk.

Hotel de Wageningse Berg is situated in a rural surrounding just (1 km)

Hotel de Wereld has been
restored to a small, elegant 4-star hotel, situated in the centre of
Wageningen on the 5 Mei Plein. The hotel offers excellent accommodation
facilities within walking distance of the towns amenities. The 14

Reehorst is a multifunctional location in Ede, exactly situated in the
middle of our country. Only 3 minutes driving from the A12 and A30. The
region is well known because of the National Park de Hoge Veluwe.

Hoekelum Castle is situated in a 112 ha. Park. It is near the city
centre of Bennekom a village just in between Wageningen and Ede.
Distance to Wageningen is 4 km. and it is only 3,5 km. to the congress
location CineMec Ede. It is a 15 minutes walk to the NS
intercity-railway station Ede-Wageningen. Next to the castle is an old
farm where they still make cheese and which can be visited to see how
the Dutch farmlife used to be in former days.
The castles history goes back to 1325 , castle and park are now property
of the Gelders Landschap Foundation. It is a favourite spot for concerts
and weddings and during the IALE-2007 Congress the Hoekelum Castle has
19 modest bedrooms available for participants.

Camping De Wielerbaan is a very
nice campsite with good sanitary facilities, situated on a hill at the
boarder of the woods just outside the citycentre of Wageningen. It has a
(covered) swimmingpool, playgrounds and a small restaurant. If you are
interested in this accommodation please make your booking
before
the 1th of April 2007!
We made a pre-reservation for 10 places for IALE participants, but as it
is a very popular spot at this time of the year we cannot keep these
reservations any longer. The website is in Dutch but they can give you
all kind of information in English by mail or by phone.
