There is no 25th anniversary without social events. There are
several moments for entertainments and social events. Of course, all the poster
sessions can be used for meeting people and talking about past, present and
future.
However, there will also be a number of special occasions to meet friends:
Sunday 8 July 5 pm-8 pm: Welcome reception, certificate presentation to
the course participants and registration desk at the WICC. Here the official
presentation of the certificates of the courses will take place. Except for this
it is an informal meeting. The city of Wageningen offers every participant a
drink. The combo of the big band will play.
- A shuttle bus will pick up the guests from the Hotels.

Monday evening Wageningen Market place: On the market in Wageningen (around
the old church) there are several acts and music. You can enjoy this from the
many terraces that can be found here. The owner of the bar de Vlaamsche Reus
will give a lecture on beer and beer culture in the Netherlands and will offer
possibilities for tasting special beers. The restaurants and café’s offer a
special IALE menu.
Tuesday evening Forum building: from 7.30 pm the congress banquet will be
held in the new Forum building of Wageningen UR. This building is just finished,
it has a wonderful architecture and we are the first group that will use it for
such a banquet. During the banquet there is music and an act; several people
will speak and later in the evening you can join the music with your own
instruments or singing.
Using a bike during the congress? That is possible. There are
bikes for rent available.
